The client wanted to develop a Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test system that would thoroughly test all the displays, controller and GPS systems for all agricultural off-road vehicles. The fleet of vehicles and number of options was too large to practically test manually.
JET built a test station using NI PXI and GPS simulation. It interfaced with each type of display and sensor for a full system-level test. The antenna off the cab was placed in a Faraday cage where a GPS RF signal was transmitted to the cab antenna.
JET worked with the customer to capture the requirements and upgrade as needed throughout the project. The system is capable of recording and playing back field data to observe operations for specific field conditions. The full system test can be automatically tested or manually tested to ensure reliable operation and zero field failures.
