Fire Detection Cable
The Problem
The client needed to duplicate and update an existing assembly line in a new location to increase productivity of their fire detection cables in commercial aircraft regulated by the FAA. This required updating the legacy LabVIEW code after many years of additions and deletions.
The Solution
To create a new full assembly line, JET worked with the client and the legacy LabVIEW code to capture the requirements. JET proceeded to develop an entire test automation assembly line using fourteen very complex applications.
The Outcome
JET created a series of applications that all run on the new fire detection cable production line. All applications have a similar appearance and common reusable components. This makes them extremely user friendly and expandable. All apps use and record significant test data on various databases.
Not only was a new production line created, but throughput increased significantly.
