Rob was appointed to the elite LabVIEW Champions community in 2014 and has been passionate LabVIEW professional since 1992. He was one of the first National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Architects (CLA), and one of a select group to hold both the CLA and Certified TestStand Architect certifications. He is also a VeriStand expert. He routinely presents at NI Week and the “CLA Summit” on topics such as Effective User Interface Design and Software Engineering Practices. As a Certified Professional Instructor (CPI), he has personally trained and mentored 13 CLAs and numerous LabVIEW Developers.
Throughout his career, Rob has designed, implemented and integrated software for a wide range of projects in a variety of fields including aerospace, telecom, material testing, medical devices, machine control, instrumentation testing, automated production and HIL simulation. He has effectively applied LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, LabVIEW RT, LabVIEW FPGA, RIO, DAQ, Motion Control Serial/GPIB, Vision and other technologies to automated testing, data acquisition and control systems in projects involving Flight Data Processing, Automated Welding Control, Heart Valve/Stent Medical Implants, Ocular Surgery Equipment, Radiopharmacy Cyclotrons, Heavy Construction Vehicles, High-Pressure Valves and Circuit Breakers.
