Mechanical Engineer

At JET, our Mechanical Engineers work directly with our customers at all phases of the product life cycle to identify requirements for the design, development, build and installation of new or modified mechanical components or systems.

  • Assist with new business development by working with the sales team and traveling to new client sites and assist with proposals
  • Assess and document project requirements
  • Design and implement test systems and procedures
  • Specify systems components or direct modification of equipment to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Perform hardware and software integration linking software to customer needs
  • Measure the performance of mechanical components, devices and equipment
  • Perform testing, evaluating and modifications on customer’s equipment to ensure desired or optimal performance
  • Serve as liaison with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price and delivery of parts
  • May direct the work of other team members with the responsibility for completing a project according to the established schedule and budget requirements while meeting pre-determined milestones for deliverables
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD modeling and analysis tools
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot LabVIEW software
  • National Instrumentations certification status (such as CLAD, CLD or CLA)
  • Demonstrated project management experience

Electrical Engineer

At JET Engineering, our engineers work directly with our customers at all phases of the product life cycle to identify requirements for the design, development, build and installation of new or modified components or systems.

  • Engage in all phases of product development including concept, architecture, design, test, on-site start-up and service support
  • Review and develop technical specifications
  • Design electrical control systems and solutions utilizing variable frequency drives and feedback loops, to meet project requirements while meeting engineering standards and applicable codes, and within cost constraints
  • Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components for control systems
  • Design circuits and circuit boards, perform laboratory tests, and similar circuits using software such as Embedded C
  • Measure the performance of electrical components, devices and equipment
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Assist with new business development by working with the sales team and meeting with new clients and assisting with proposals
  • May direct the work of other team members with the responsibility for completing a project according to the established schedule and budget requirements while meeting pre-determined milestones for deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and a minimum of three years of related experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of National Electric and the IEEE Code
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors and electronic equipment
  • Proven success implementing Programmable Controllers, Motion Control Systems and Electronic Human Interface software
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot LabVIEW software
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with a cross-functional team and interfacing directly with external customers
